Massage Therapist, Reflexologist in Richmond Hill /Oak Ridges

After working in a hardware distribution plant for nearly 10 years and seeing a lot of repetitive strain injuries, I decided that I would become a manual therapist to help people overcome these aches and pains.
Conveying my thoughts to a friend who was in the natural health field, he suggested that I start small by doing Reflexology to see if I would enjoy the work. I received my Foot Reflexology Certification in 1997. It wasn’t until 7 years later that I enrolled in Massage Therapy school.
In my career of Natural Health I have worked in a variety of settings: spas, clinics, private practice, tradeshows and even hospitals. Now I am able to do what I love and treat such conditions as sciatica, frozen shoulder, headaches/migraines, TMJ dysfunction, low back/neck pain, whiplash, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis and pregnancy. It is such a great pleasure for me to have clients walk into my room with stress or pain and leave an hour later with a big smile on their face.
I incorporate a variety of techniques including Swedish Massage, Deep Muscle Therapy, Hot Stone Massage, Indian Head Massage, Chair Massage and Reiki Energy into my Richmond Hill massage therapy practice.
My career path is also leading me to a teaching role, allowing me to share my knowledge and experience with others. I received my Foot Reflexology Teachers Certificate from the Canadian Academy of Reflexology and Deep Muscle Therapy in May 2006 and am planning in the near future to obtain my Reiki Master/Teacher Level III.
One of the greatest benefits that I experience in what I do is meeting new people and getting to know them as individuals and what they enjoy as past times/hobbies. This helps me with my approach to treatments.
Having been active in sports as a youngster and in ballroom dancing in my late teens to early 30′s, I understand the demands that we put on our bodies. I also understand the importance of maintaining a well balanced mind, body and soul.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you on your path to well being and enlightenment.
