Our Team

Dr. Jennifer Grochocinski, BMSc, ND

I very much believe that the best health care strongly revolves around the prevention of disease and teaching people about the impact that diet, lifestyle, and the environment has on their health. Being able to combine this idea with the science of modern medicine made becoming a naturopathic doctor an easy and natural choice for me!

My personal philosophy and the approach that I use with my patients is to use dietary and lifestyle changes first and foremost. I really believe that changes in this area can not only sometimes have the biggest impact, but also long lasting results.  I will usually combine these changes with a number of different types of treatments, particularly nutritional supplements, botanical medicines, and acupuncture where I find them necessary.

On an average day I will see patients that are young, old and every age in between, with a diversity of conditions ranging from skin conditions and digestive complains to diabetes, depression, and infertility.   My background in microbiology and immunology has given me a particular interest in various infectious and immune disorders and because of this I have also worked with patients diagnosed with conditions such as MS, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and HIV.  Naturopathic care, however, isn’t just for chronic illnesses.  In my practice, I also encourage people to see me for acute conditions like colds and flues, and especially for preventative health care  - it is never too late to start!

One of the things I have come to enjoy the most about my practice is the amount of time that I am able to spend with patients.  In a medical system where most people are used to being seen in 10 minute intervals, most find it refreshing to be able to spend up to an hour really focusing on those health concerns that are important to them.  It also allows for the creation of strong partnerships between my patients and myself, where we can really sit down and work together on reaching personal health goals!

I look forward to meeting you and working with you to achieve your health goals!
