Meredith Kerrigan, RBT
I am qualified in several modalities but feel a particular connection to Bowen Therapy. Through my own sports injuries and life adversities I have experienced many other types of therapies. But it was Bowen that truly resonated because of its gentle, yet effective approach.
I have been able to share Bowen Therapy throughout the GTA with many clients for almost 5 years now.
My clients inspire me to delve further toward the understanding of health and the healing process. I do quite a bit of listening during each encounter. And every session is an important part of my practice. I value the smiles on clients' faces.
I am gentle and quiet and my goal for each session is to invoke a comfortable release that has a lasting effect. I look forward to a team approach whereby my client is very much an active part of the healing process.
I would think that a client who is receiving Bowen is open to working with healing in a highly receptive way. They may have tried other treatments and have a desire to try something that isn't truly yet mainstream. I will spend the right amount of time according to a client's individual needs during each session. I put my trust in the healing work of Bowen.
PROFESSIONAL BIO
Meredith's background is in Physical Education and Recreation. She holds a Certified Fitness Appraiser (CFA) with OASES and has worked in Cardiac Rehabilitation Programming, the Trauma Programme at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (Air Ambulance) and consults in Risk Management in Healthcare. She facilitated a Smoking Cessation Program through the National Center for Health Promotion, USA, in Toronto Hospitals and is now focusing on her passion, the practice of Bowen.
Meredith is a local resident of the Richmond Hill community. She immensely enjoys paddling on as long of a canoe trip that she can get her hands on each summer. She also competes in Dragonboat racing and Outrigger Canoe and is an active member of the Richmond Hill Canoe Club on Lake Wilcox. Equal in her love for the water, is her passion for horses. She is also an equestrian and Equine Muscle Release Therapy Practitioner (EMRT).
